Protest rally against grenade attack in Gafargaon

Protest marches and protest rallies were held in Gafargaon, Mymensingh on August 21, 2004, against the grenade attack by BNP-Jamaat on Sheikh Hasina's public meeting.
On Sunday at 4 pm, the protest march and rally was held at the initiative of Upazila Awami League and allied organizations.
District Awami League Vice President and Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashraf Uddin Badal, General Secretary Abul Kashem, Joint General Secretary Ataur Rahman, Nazmul Haque Dhali, Municipal Awami League spoke out against the barbaric grenade attack intended to kill Sheikh Hasina. General Secretary Matiur Rahman Babul, Municipal Jubo League convener Mahmud Hasan Sajib, Secchasebak League convener Aurang Helal, Chhatra League President Mehedi Hasan Shanil, General Secretary Shariful Islam Mandal and others.
At the beginning of the meeting, a minute's silence was observed for the peace of the souls of the martyrs. At the end of the meeting, a special prayer was offered for the souls of the martyrs in the 21st August grenade attack. Leaders and activists of Awami League, Chhatra League, Jubo League, Volunteer League, Sramik League, Women Awami League participated in the event.
