Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized the award ceremony of Project Fair 2023 on Thursday.

Vice-Chancellor Brigadier General Md. Mijanuzzaman was present as the chief guest at the event organized at Sky Light Hall.

The chief guest said that through these achievements of the students, Bowet wants to be involved in the technological development of the country. So the students should focus more on research and project work. He assured that Bouet will cooperate in the development of the projects which are displayed in the project fair.

IQAC Director and Head of CSE Department Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhunya gave a welcome speech at the presentation of Associate Prof Md. Hamidur Rahman of English Department, Additional Director of IQAC. Sheikh Raihan Rahman, a student of Civil Engineering Department and Mominul Haque of CSE Department gave speeches among the awardees.

University Registrar Lt. Col. KFA Sohail (retd.), Dean of Science and Humanities Faculty and Head Professor of Physics Department were present at the event. Md. Sajjad Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Professor of Law and Justice. Md. Shahidul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Head of the Department Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Islam, Proctor, Heads of other departments, faculty, officials and students.

80 projects were displayed in the project fair. The jury selected 10 projects as winners and best. Among the projects, the champions were Sheikh Raihan Rahman and Md. Safayat Hossain, team members of CE department, 'Gas Treatment Plant', 1st runner-up was Saqib Raihan, team member of CSE department, 'Battle Field' and 2nd runner-up was 'Biodiesel Production Waste Cooking Well' project team member. Saadi Muhammad and Afia Maryam of CE Department.

The chief guest distributed crests, certificates and gifts to the winning contestants. Besides, prize money is awarded to the champion team, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up.
