Pro-BNP teachers boycott IU association elections

Pro-BNP teachers' organization Zia Parishad will not participate in the upcoming teachers' association elections in Islamic University (IU).

According to the press release, the Zia Parishad has taken a decision not to participate in the upcoming IU Teachers' Association Election-2023 in the light of the protest of the prevailing situation in the country and the advice of the Central Zia Parishad. Also Zia Parishad members have been asked to refrain from the election.
The returning officer of the election, Professor Md. Mizanur Rahman. According to the announced schedule, the polling of teachers association will continue from 10 am to 2 pm on December 19. Counting of votes will start at 3 pm.
