President appoints Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury chief whip of parliament

President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Tuesday appointed Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury, Awami league lawmaker from Madaripur-1 constituency as the Chief Whip of the 12th Parliament.
The President gave the appointment in line with the Bangladesh (Whip) Order, 1972 and the Parliament Secretariat's Human Resources Division-1 published a gazette in this regard this afternoon.
The President also appointed five ruling party lawmakers as whips of the House.
They are: Iqbalur Rahim from Dinajpur -3, Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan from Joypurhat-2, Md Nazrul Islam Babu, from Naraynganj-2, Saimum Sarwar Kamal from Cox's Bazar-2 and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza from Narail-2.
