Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has greeted all concerned on the occasion of the 3rd Electronic World Marketing Summit.

"I am happy to know that the 3rd Electronic World Marketing Summit (eWMS) is being held on 6-7 November 2022," said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a message on Saturday .

"Northern Education Group (NEG), the country partner of Kotler Impact, is jointly organizing the event. On this occasion, I extend my felicitations to all concerned," the premier added.

The theme of the eWMS - Marketing Changes to Meet Sustainability Goals - is rightly chosen as the world faces the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Russia-Ukraine war, and the consequent sanctions and countersanctions, she said.

She further said impacts of both the pandemic and the war caused exorbitant price hike of essentials and supply chain disruption sending the import-dependent countries into a dire situation.

Marketing is a discipline that can play an important role in making essentials available to the people across the world, she added.

She hoped that the summit will focus on the current global market situation to bring a positive impact on the society.

"Our government has been working to improve the socio-economic condition of the people. Opportunities are being created for self-employment in the fields of small business, entrepreneurship, e-commerce, IT sector etc," she said.

"Provisions are there to get collateral-free bank loans for launching such ventures," she continued.

Guided by the principle of gender balance, the government has dedicated its efforts for the benefit of the poor, marginalized and those who are left behind, the premier said.

“Upholding the development and democratic spree, we have been moving forward to build a hunger and poverty-free, and a happy prosperous Golden Bangladesh as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman," she said.
