Our goal is to make police neutral, people-oriented : DIG Ashraful

DIG Ashfaqul Alam, Commandant of Tangail Mahera Police Training Center said, Our aim is to build an impartial, accountable, people-oriented, efficient police force. Police should be ready to face the challenges that are in front of them. Police has an important role in building a new Bangladesh and maintaining peace and order and achieving prosperity in the society.

He said this while addressing the chief guest at the closing parade of the 21st batch of Divisional Cadet Sub-Inspectors (SI) at Mahera Police Training Center in Mirzapur on Monday morning.

The training parade was held at the parade ground of the training center at 8 am. Among others, Deputy Commandant Additional DIG Mahafuzur Rahman, Superintendent of Police (Administration) Shah Abdur Rahim Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police (Training) AFM R Kibria, Superintendent of Police of Tangail Saiful Islam Shanto and others were present on the occasion.

257 Divisional Cadet Sub-Inspectors (Unarmed) in the 21st batch attended their compulsory in-service training course for 6 months.

PSI (Unarmed) Udayan Bikahs Barua, PSI (Unarmed) Md. Mainul Islam and PSI (Unarmed) Amrito Lal Das were presented with crests and certificates.

Chief guest Commandant DIG Mohammad Ashfaqul Alam presented the award to them. Earlier, the chief guest visited the parade in an open jeep.
