One person died in Singra due to Cotton netting

While swimming across the canal in Singra Upazila of Natore, He got caught in a cotton net. A man named Abdus Salam Mridha (45) has died.
The accident happened on Monday (November 11) around 7:30 in the morning at Itali Canal in Pomboria village of the Upazila .
Abdus Salam is a resident of Pomboria village of Chowgram Union.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singra Police Station. Asmaul Haque told Bangla news quoting the locals that in the morning Abdus Salam went to work in the field next to the house.
If he felt sick, he told other people present in the field. In this situation, they advised him to go home.
Later, he was trying to go home by swimming across the nearby Italian canal. At that time, he got caught in the cotton net placed in the canal by the current of water and died.
Local people rescued him and informed the police.Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to Nato Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Singra Thana Officer-In Charge (OC) said Abdus Salam felt sick before his death. So postmortem is being done. The actual cause of his death will be known after receiving the report. The matter is being investigated.
