One killed in clash between two families over children's play in Dhunat

A youth named Raihan (20) died in a clash between two families over children's sports in Dhunat upazila.
The deceased is the son of Badsha Mia of Paschimpara area of Haed Nagar village of Kalerpara union of this upazila.
According to family and local sources, Ranju Mia's child son of Paschim Para area of Haed Nagar village and neighbor Rashedul Islam's son were playing sports last Monday.
At one point, Ranju Mia's son was hit on the forehead. When a dispute arose over this, both the families became angry and the next day, Tuesday, Rashed's father Shahidul Islam tried to resolve the matter as a family.
There was a fight between the two families as there was no solution. Badsha Mia's son Raihan and his brother Nayan were injured in this incident on behalf of Ranju Mia.
On the day of the incident, Raihan and Nayan returned home with first aid from Dhunat Upazila Health Complex.
Raihan fell ill on Wednesday morning while having a normal conversation with family members. The family took him to Dhunat Upazila Health Complex.
The doctor on duty there transferred him to Bogura Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College (Sajimec) Hospital for better treatment. Raihan died on Thursday morning while undergoing treatment there.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Dhunat police station officer-in-charge (OC) Rabiul Islam said, after receiving the information, the incident site was visited. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
No complaint or case has been filed by the family of the deceased till the writing of this report.
