One killed, 4 injured in CNG- hand trolley collision at Madan

A man named Hafizur Rahman (55) was killed in a collision between a CNG-powered autorickshaw and a hand trolley in Madan, Netrokona. 4 people including the CNG driver were injured in this incident.
The accident took place at Vaishyabari area of Madan-Kendua road on Saturday afternoon. The deceased Hafizur is the son of deceased Khode Newaj of Chitulia village of Kendua upazila.
As the condition of 3 of the injured is critical, they have been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Madan Upazila Officer-in-Charge (OC) Naeem Muhammad Nahid Hasan said that the body of the deceased will be prepared and sent to Netrakona Modern Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Further legal action is being taken in this incident.
According to local people and police sources, a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw was going from Kendua to Madan with passengers on Saturday afternoon. On the other hand, the hand trolley loaded with goods was going from Madan to Kendua. On the way, two vehicles collided head-on at a place called Vaishyabari. Hafizur Rahman, the passenger of the CNG autorickshaw, died on the spot. CNG driver Tamim (30), passenger Rahima Akhtar (50), Lakhi Akhtar (30) and Minti (13) were injured. Local people rescued the injured and took them to Madan Upazila Health Complex.
The injured CNG driver Tamim, passenger Rahima Akhtar and Lakhi Akhtar were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for better treatment as their condition was critical.
