Oil reserves discovered in Sylhet: Nasrul Hamid

A deposit capable of producing about 500-600 barrels of oil per day has been discovered in Sylhet gas field.
This oil has been found at Well No. 10 in Sylhet gas field, along with four layers of reserve fuel, said State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid in a press conference on Sunday noon.
He said, About 35 barrels of oil were bubbling up per hour at its natural pressure, and further testing will determine the extent of the deposit.
