NBR launches service month to facilitate tax return filing

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) today launched a 'tax service month' to facilitate taxpayers to file their tax returns timely for the year 2022-23.
The tax authority takes the initiative as the deadline for submission of income tax returns ends on November 30. Before the pandemic, the NBR used to hold tax fairs to assist taxpayers to furnish their annual income and wealth statements.
At a press briefing at the NBR headquarters on Tuesday , NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem said it will provide services to the taxpayers in a festive mood at its all 649 circles under 31 tax zones across the country.
