A witness in the Narsingdi murder case staged a drama by claiming that he had been stabbed and shot with a piece of iron. The police investigation revealed the evidence of such drama.

Narsingdi Additional Superintendent of Police Al Amin reaveled this information in a press conference at the Superintendent of Police office on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier on last Friday afternoon, a man named Sajib Mia (30) claimed to have been shot in the attack and sought treatment at Narsingdi District Hospital. At that time, he complained to the journalists that he was injured in the attack of the defendants for testifying in the murder case. News about this was published in various media.

In a press conference, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Al Amin said that in 2015, Sajib Miah, a witness in the murder case of a UP member named Arif Pathan in Shibpur, Narsingdi, testified in the court on October 11.

The day after the testimony, he made a general diary (GD) at Madhavadi police station, mentioning the names of the 4 accused in the murder case and claiming that he was under threat of death. Then last Friday (October 14) at noon, Sajib went to a secluded pond in Panchdona area under Madhavadi police station and with the help of a friend named Mamun, Sajib pierced the right side of his chest with a small knife and inserted small pieces of iron into the skin.

After the incident, while seeking treatment at the district hospital with the help of his friend Mamun, he claimed in front of his relatives, doctors and journalists that the accused in the case attacked and shot him for testifying in the UP member's murder case. Later the doctor on duty sent him to Dubai with first aid. After being taken to Dubai without any kind of surgery

The doctor took out a piece of iron from under the skin of the injured Sajib's chest and gave him first aid.

Later, the police investigated the incident and did not see anyone else in the CCTV footage around the incident area. Meanwhile, Sajib and his friend were seen walking normally and the police got the mystery of the drama without finding any sign of such incident.

Later, when Mamun was confronted, witness Sajib Mia admitted to the police that he had staged this drama to frame the opponent.
