Mostafizur Rahman of Bagatipara Upazila, has been elected as the President of the 2025-26 session of the Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Federation Natore District Branch.

Prof Mujibur Rahman, Central Advisor of Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Federation and former Member of Parliament, announced his name as the President at the biennial conference held at the District Council Auditorium on February 1.

He took the oath . Aftab Ali has become the General Secretary of the Federation's committee. Meanwhile, as the President of the Workers' Welfare Federation, Mostafizur Rahman, a Kriti Son of Bagatipara, is being praised by people of different classes and professions of this upazila. Mostafizur Rahman was born on August 10, 1972, in the house of Majed Ali Sarkar in the village of Jogipara in Bagatipara Upazila. He grew up in that village from his childhood.

He passed his secondary school from Bagatipara Government Pilot School in 1988, his higher secondary from Nawab Sirajuddaula College in 1991 and his BA from Bagatipara Degree College in 1995. He started his political career through student politics during his student life. He joined Chhatra Shibir in 1991. He served as the president of Bagatipara Chhatra Shibir from 1992 to 1995. In 1996, he completed his student politics by serving as the president of the Natore city branch of the Shibir. Later, after completing his student life in 1997, he joined Jamaat and became a pillar of the organization in 1998. Later, he served as the president of Sadar Union in 2000 and the secretary of Bagatipara Upazila in 2001-02. From 2002 to 2020, he was the Ameer and District Shura member of Bagatipara Upazila. He served as a member of the District Working Committee and President of the Youth Division from 2021 to 2022 and as the Office Secretary in the 2023-24 session.

Finally, he was elected as the President of the Natore District Branch of the Bangladesh Workers' Welfare Federation for the 2025-26 session. During his career, he served as the Principal of Bagatipara Municipal Pre-Cadet School. In addition, his wife Shabana Akhtar was a former elected female Vice Chairman of Bagatipara Upazila Parishad.
