The monthly meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held in Gopalganj at 10:30 am on Sunday at the DC's Conference Room "Swachhta" and it was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner and learned District Magistrate Muhammad Kamruzzaman.

The meeting was moderated by the newly- appointed Additional District Magistrate SM Tarek Sultan.

It was attended by the Deputy Director of the Local Government Department Bishwajit Kumar Paul, Additional Superintendent of Police Kazi Mahbubul Alam, Commander of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 Bhatiapara Camp SM Rezaul Haque, District Ansar and VDP Commandant (BVMS) Mojibul Haque, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Abu Sayeed Faruk, Superintendent of Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital Dr. Jibetish Biswas, Assistant Director of the District Narcotics Control Department Mohammad Nabi Newaz, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj Roads and Highways Department Md. Azharul Islam, Principal of Govt Bangabandhu College Prof Ohid Alam Laskar, Deputy Director of District Social Service Office Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Student Coordinators of Bashemur BIPROBI Jasim Uddin and Habibur Rahman, Kashiani UNO Farzana Jannat, Kotalipara UNO Sagufta Haque, Gopalganj Sadar UNO M. Rakibul Hasan, Tungipara Upazila Executive Officer Md. Moinul Haque, Muksudpur UNO Tasnim Akhter, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Probir Biswas, Russell Munshi, Sebgatullah and other members of the District Law and Order Committee were present. The committee chairman, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman urged to work together to maintain the law and order situation in the district.
