Mobile court of the upazila administration has raided the illegal and dangerous gas cylinder warehouse in Chandnaish of Chittagong.

The raid was conducted at the house of Putun Talukdar of Kanchanabad Union of the upazila at around 11 pm on Monday .

The mobile court and police could not arrest anyone as they fled on sensing the presence of the operation. However, a vehicle used for transporting gas illegally was seized.

It is learnt that for a long time, an unscrupulous gang has been carrying on business by illegally cross-filling cylinder gas into another cylinder in a warehouse of Ward No. 9 Putun Talukdar of Kanchanabad Union of Upazila. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Diplomacy Chakma raided the area around 11 pm on Monday night after receiving information from secret sources. In the operation, the mobile court found the fact of illegal and risky gas cross-filling from big bottles to small bottles without license.

Apart from this, M/s Shah Rashidia Rabbania automobile owner Md. has been cross-filling gas cylinders illegally and dangerously without a license for a long time on the north-west side of Badurpara road. There have been reports of such allegations against Jamal Uddin. If the truth is found, the operation will be conducted.

Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Diplomacy Chakma said that he conducted the operation after receiving information from secret sources that the cylinders were being marketed using fake stickers of various licensed companies by illegally and dangerously cross-filling gas cylinders without a license. This campaign will continue.
