Miscreants set fire to shrine, mosque of 80-year-old in Purbachal

Miscreants have attacked the shrine of Hazrat Hussain Ali Shah Langtar, who is about 80 years old, in Sector No. 11 of Purbachal suburb in Rupganj, Narayanganj on Wednesday.
The attackers destroyed some structures including shrines and mosques with veku. At one stage they set fire to the shrine's mosque. Meanwhile, the OC of Rupganj Police Station, Company Commander of RAB-1 visited the spot on Wednesday morning after receiving the news.
Zakir Hossain, Khadem of Hazrat Hossain Ali Shah Langtar Shrine, said that around 12:30 PM on Tuesday night, 2 to 3 people entered the shrine with domestic weapons. They first broke the shrine of Hazrat Hussain Ali Shah Langta with a veku. Later Tinset mosque next to the shrine was vandalized and set on fire. Meanwhile, Rupganj police station OC Liakat Ali, RAB-1 company commander Tariqul Islam visited the scene on Wednesday morning after receiving information about the incident.
Liaqat Ali, OC of Rupganj Police Station, said that miscreants attacked and vandalized the shrine at night. Even the mausoleum was set on fire. On receiving such news, the police visited the spot. Legal action will be taken against those who have committed this incident.
