Miscreants rob money, jewelery in Gafargaon

The miscreants took away the gold ornaments and cash of a family by spraying unconsciousness through the window of the residence. Five people got sick in this incident. Saturday (July 23) at around 3:00 pm at the residence of Jahan Soeb (45) of Sarwar, behind Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex in Mymensingh.
The family members said that some time late on Saturday night, the miscreants sprayed unconsciousness through the windows of two rooms of the house and rendered 5 members of the family unconscious.
Later, at around three o'clock in the night, he entered the house by cutting the window grill of another room and looted a gold necklace weighing 2 vory two gold neck chains, 4 pairs of earrings, electrical goods and 50,000 taka in cash. In the morning, other family members noticed and took 5 sick people to Upazila Health Complex.
The housewives expatriate Sarwar Jahan Soeb (45), Kohinoor (28), Marzia Akhtar (26), Sahida Akhtar (32) and Shishu Junayed (10) who were injured by the miscreants' spray, were sent home after receiving first aid at Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex, but it was afternoon till this report was written. They are unconscious at home till quarter past 5.
In this regard, Gafargaon Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Anwar Hossain said that a police team including Gafargaon Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Mahfuza Akhtar visited the scene. The matter is under investigation.
