Livestock Service Week Inaugurated, Exhibition held at Goalando

Animal Resources Service Week-2024 inauguration and Exhibition Fair was held in a grand manner to encourage the farmers of Goalando Upazila of Rajbari district.
The fair was organized on Thursday at the upazila ground square in collaboration with the Livestock and Dairy Development Project (LDDP) and the implementation of the Upazila Administration Upazila Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital.
Farmers from different areas of the upazila participated in this exhibition fair with their raised breeds of cows, goats, ducks, chickens, pigeons and other species of animals and birds in 47 stalls. Common people started flocking from morning to see the fair. Through the exhibition, the farmers are expected to be more motivated in this sector in the future.
Later in the afternoon, the exhibition ended with the distribution of prizes to the participating farmers in 3 categories. Earlier, the fair started with the opening ceremony at around 11:30 pm.

Rahman Miah, Upazila Dairy Farm Association President A. Salam Mondal etc.
UNO visited every stall participating in the fair.
Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Md Rasheduzzaman Mia said that the country is moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The youths are playing a role in the economy to eliminate unemployment by rearing livestock in the country. He also said that it is possible to eliminate the problem of unemployment by rearing cows and bulls to advance the country. Moreover, we have achieved the target in the production of poultry eggs.
Milk production is also almost on track to achieve the target. We hope that this livestock exhibition will get a huge response from the farmers in animal husbandry.'
