Liton out with fever, Mahidul makes debut in second Test

Bangladesh have been asked to bowl first in the second and final Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

The hosts, trailing by 0-1 after losing the first Test by seven wickets, made three changes to their playing XI.

Liton Kumar Das is out with a fever and Jaker Ali was ruled out due to a concussion sustained during training, while spinner Nayeem Hasan also sits out. Wicketkeeper-batter Mahidul Islam makes his Test debut after being added to the squad on Monday evening. Zakir Hasan, who reached Chattogram on Monday following his National Cricket League (NCL) match, returns to the playing XI alongside Nahid Rana.

South Africa made two changes to their lineup, bringing in Senuran Muthusamy and Dane Paterson, with Breetzke and Piedt dropping out.
