A protest rally was held in front of the UP office at Mainimukh Bazar after the protest march in Mainimukh Bazar of Longadu Upazila in the morning.

Former Rangamati District BNP senior vice president Md. Abu Nasir spoke as the chief guest under the chairmanship of upazila youth party convener Md Jane Alam. Upazila Juba Dal member secretary Syed Md. Yunus Mia gave the keynote speech by Upazila BNP President Md. Tofazzal Hossain, General Secretary Abul Kalam Azad.

Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Abul Kashem Member, Vice President Abdul Gaffar Bhuiyan, Former Associate Organizing Secretary Shah Alam Murad, Senior Joint Secretary MA Halim, Office Secretary Md Saiful Khan and other leaders and workers of various levels of BNP, organs and affiliated organizations were present.

Speakers in the rally said that the current Awami League government is establishing a one-party monopoly. So in Bhola, BNP and Chhatra Dal leaders were shot dead by police forces during a peaceful program.

The speakers also said that due to the increase in the price of goods in the country, the purchasing power of the common people has gone out. Due to looting and corruption, there is a crisis of oil, gas, electricity in the country today. This government is suppressing the opposition parties without solving these issues.

Speakers said that all leaders and workers need a united movement to remove the government from power.
