JUAAM new committee holds installation ceremony, promises to felicitate scholarship

The newly formed committee of Jahangirnagar University Alumni Association of Mathematics (JUAAM) held its installation ceremony, promising to facilitate scholarships to underprivileged students.
The event was organized at 11:00 am at the Shailprapat conference room of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation in Agargaon of the capital on Friday.
The outgoing committee members greeted newly formed committee President Mozammel Islam Chowdhury Taslim and General Secretary Rezaul Alam Reza including 69 other office bearers.
The former students including the first batch of the department reminisced their memories at the function.
Prominence figures in attendance including Sunamganj University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abu Naeem Sheikh, former President of JUAAM M Zahirul Islam, Senior Vice-President of JUAAM Syed Nazrul Islam, Vice-President of JUAAM and Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Rifat Rahman Shamim, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Planning Mullah Mohammad Anisuzzaman, Professor of Mathematics Muhammad Nazrul Islam and Joint Secretary of JUAAM and Superintendent of Police Ansar Uddin Shubo.
Later, a cultural program was organized in participation of current and former students of the department in the afternoon.
