After 40 years with the intervention of Rajshahi's Deputy Commissioner, the tribal family got the house back recently.

In 1989-90, a tribal named Bhola Mardi was allotted the 34th century Khas land of 901 dags of Bamlahal Mauza in Rishikul Union of Godagari Upazila of Rajshahi District.

By terrorizing the tribal families, the land robber Sarwar Jahan Dabul of Godagari Sadar had been forcibly occupying the place with the help of the local Shajahan. Two-three weeks ago, they suddenly started building construction by scaring the tribal families.

Even after complaining to local UP Chairman Shahidul Islam Tulu a few days ago, tribal Bhola Mardi did not get any relief. Bhola Mardi lost his way to rescue the place locally.

On Thursday (January 19), Bhola Mardi filed a written complaint with the Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner and the District Commissioner.

As soon as the complaint was received, Rajshahi District Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil asked Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Sabuj Hasan of Godagari Upazila to investigate and take action. According to the instructions, Executive Magistrate Md. Sabuj Hasan went to the spot on Friday (January 20) afternoon and investigated and got the facts of the incident.

Later, the illegal constructions were demolished with bulltulizers and the land was returned to the tribal families.

Godagari Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Sabuj Hasan said that under the direction of the DC Sir, after investigating the truth of the incident, raids were carried out and the houses were demolished and the tribal Bhola Mardi was explained. He said that such operations will continue in the future.

Bhola Mardi said, I am very happy to get my place after a long time. He thanked the District Commissioner and the local administration.
