The International Literary Conference -2023 was held in Kolkata recently.

Writers and poets from India's Balurghat, Maldah, Jalpaiguri, South Dinajpur in North Bengal and Bankura, Purulia, Burdwan, Birbhum, Nadia, Murshidabad, Duy 24 Parganas, Duy Mednipur and Bangladesh's Narail, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Dinajpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chittagong in South Bengal.Poets from Balurghat, Maldah, Jalpaiguri, South Dinajpur, South Bengal in India and Bankura, Purulia, Burdwan, Birbhum, Nadia, Murshidabad, Duy 24 Parganas, Duy Mednipur and Narail, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Dinajpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong in Bangladesh. attended the event.

Essayists build bridges between writers, readers, critics, poets, literary figures and researchers. Bangladesh's prominent columnist, journalist and writer Mir Abdul Alim was present as the chief guest at Krishnapada Ghosh Memorial Hall, Suryasen Street, Shilaidh under the chairmanship of India's famous writer Dilip Roy were also present.

The event was inaugurated by India's prominent literary figure Sastipada Chattopadhyay.

The event was attended by-Debashish Kole (Prominent Journalist, Howrah), Dr. Parthasarathy (Eminent Educationist and Literary, Malda), Dr. Ramprasad Biswas (Eminent Literary and Educationist, Bankura), Kamal De Shikdar (Eminent Poet India), Dr. Sakira Nova (Writer, Researcher and TV Presenter, Dhaka), Nigmanand Mondal (Karndhar-Anand Publications, Kolkata), eminent researcher and publisher Nandini Louisa and more distinguished Shraddhabhajan poet and literary figures.

The crowd at the event was eye-catching. The hall was packed to the brim with many people standing and enjoying the event.A joint initiative of "Arunalok Sahitya Parivar" and "Dilip Roy Fan Club" saw a large number of people who loved literature. Since the birth of the organization, they have followed their path with people who love Bengali language and literature from home and abroad.

As part of that effort, the unveiling ceremony of the new issue of their magazine this year was one of them. Along with that, several new books were officially released and unveiled. Like Dilip Roy's Ladaku Mahila and 50 Favorite Stories, Subrata Saha's Self Realization, Fatike Chandra Biswas's Mallikanjali.

At this time, 26 literary organizations of different states of India were honored with commemorative awards. Apart from that, regular writers of "Dilip Roy Fan Club" and regular participants of virtual events held by the fan club, poets, lyricists and writers were also honored with commemorative awards. In the event, poets from different places, poets, musicians, recited poems, recited and performed music.

Apart from that, Arunalok Sahitya Parivar is determined to give dignity to young and old creative people. For which, with the sincere love of creative people, Arunalok Sahitya family is advancing in the world in terms of literature.

Chief guest Mir Abdul Alim said a passport is a wall in front of us, we are the same in mind.Dilip Roy, founder president of the program said, "The only reason to hold a program with the poets and writers of our country and Bangladesh is to keep the mail-bond between the two countries intact.

To strengthen the foundation of the relationship between the two countries. People from different districts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, have come to this literary gathering. Likewise, poets and writers have come from our country's Tripura state, Assam's Silchar, Karimganj, Malda-Murshidabad-Birbhum-Nadia-Bakunda-Burdwan-Dakshin Dinajpur-Jalpaiguri.

This conference has been able to build a bridge of connection between young and old poets and writers. For this, we are grateful to the poets and writers, as well as to the members of our executive committee. Kudos to everyone.”

In the speech of the chief guest, Mir Abdul Alim said, "One thing is clear from the international literary gathering, the people of both countries are determined to keep the Bengali language alive.

Apart from that, the importance of the program is immense to keep the bond between the two countries intact. He thinks that the foundation of the relationship between the two countries will be strengthened through this event.
