Intern doctors on strike at Patuakhali Medical College Hospital demanding increase of salary, allowances

Patuakhali Medical College Hospital intern doctors have started a 48-hour strike demanding increase in salary and allowances. In order to collect the demands, the intern doctors have human chained in front of the Medical College Hospital and submitted a memorandum to the director.
They held these programs from noon on Monday.
Earlier, the intern doctors started a two-day strike from Sunday night to collect their demands. At this time they jointly presented four demands.
The demands are that the salary of intern doctors should be increased to 30 thousand taka and the salary of postgraduate private trainee doctors should be increased to 50 thousand taka. Payment of arrears of allowance to post graduate trainee doctors (FCPS, resident and non-resident).
12 private institutes to revoke the decision to stop sudden allowances of non-residents and residents and reinstate the allowances and enact the Doctors Protection Act immediately.
