Indo-Bangla Friendship Tournament inaugurated in Rajshahi

The Indo-Bangla Friendship Tournament was inaugurated in Rajshahi in a grand atmosphere recently.

President of Bangladesh Tennis Federation and Minister of State for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury MP inaugurated the tournament by blowing balloons and speaking at the initiative of Advocate Abdus Salam Tennis Complex, which was organized to strengthen the bridge between the two countries.

Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner GSM Zafar Ulla presided over the event, Senior Secretary Sheikh Yusuf Haroon, Rajshahi University Vice Chancellor Dr. Golam Sabbir Sattar, Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed, Joint Secretary Jasim Uddin Bhuiyan, Rajshahi Police Commissioner Anisur Rahman, Indian Assistant High Commissioner Manoj Kumar, Bangabandhu Parishad Central Leader Professor Dr. Kamruzzaman, Additional DIG Saiful Islam and National Journalist Society Central Organizing Secretary Towhid Akter Panna. In the event, attractive dances were performed to make this competition of the two countries attractive.

In the tournament, necessary training is given to the players of Bangladesh and India to improve their skills. Around 40 players from the two countries participated in the tournament and praised the organizers.

Swapneel of Bangladesh and Sounak of India received the champion award in the tournament. Later, the MoU signing was held between the two countries.
