India has to realise present Bangladesh not ruled by Hasina: Law adviser

Staff Correspondent

India has to accept that the present Bangladesh is not ruled by New Delhi’s sycophant Sheikh Hasina, and that Bangladesh has rather become a sovereign self-respecting country, Law Adviser Asif Nazrul have said on a facebook post.

The present Bangladesh belongs to a fearless young community, much unlike the one the power-hungry Sheikh Hasina ruled by repeatedly rigging elections.

Hasina unduly pleased India under the assumption that the practice would help her prolong her illegal rule over Bangladesh, Asif Nazrul alleged.

He also condemned the violence inflicted on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner’s office in India’s Agartala, and tearing up of Bangladesh national flag there by an unruly Hindu group, questioning how would India have reacted had Muslims staged a similar attack on an Indian diplomatic mission.

Asif Nazrul also blasted India’s West Bengal state government head Mamata Banerjee for seeking Indian prime minister’s intervention in Bangladesh and the deployment of UN peacekeepers here.

Indian leaders should instead be ashamed of the attacks on minorities and low-caste communities in their country, the law adviser noted.
