If Allah keeps me alive, I will try my best to establish a university in Kishoreganj's haor in memory of Anand Mohan Basu, Insha Allah.

BNP Chairperson's advisor Advocate Fazlur Rahman, founder of Joysiddhi High School, said these at the "Golden Jubilee of Joysiddhi High School" program in Joysiddhi Union of Itna Upazila of Kishoreganj district on Saturday morning.

Advocate Fazlur Rahman also said, I am fortunate to have been able to inaugurate the Golden Jubilee festival of the school I established. I have never done a play in my life. I became a play director only to establish a high school in this haor. My freedom fighter brothers acted in that play. The income from the play's expenses was twenty-five thousand taka at that time. Before the school was established in this haor area, no Muslim girl had passed SSC. Since the school was established, every house has a doctor, engineer, teacher, administrator. Today, light is shining in my haor.

In 1974, I established Joysiddhi High School with everyone including freedom fighters of this area. I started my journey with a fund of only 25 thousand taka by performing plays and traveling. I have arranged lodging for teachers in their homes without salary. This school, built step by step, is now crossing 50 years. There is a talented child in our area whose name is 'Anand Mohan Bose'. In his memory, we will establish a university in this haor area. The children of our area will no longer have to go to the city to study, instead, students from far and wide will come to the haor area to study.

He also said that there was a deputy speaker in this haor area, he was the president. If he wanted, he could have done a lot of development, but he did nothing except two things. He built a 30 km. They have built a dam that has crossed the heads of 11 unions. As a result, after the next 20 years, there will be no more rice in the haor, but only corn.

Chairman of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission and former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. S. M. A. Fayez, joined the Subarna Jantayee program of Joysiddhi High School in Itna Upazila virtually as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner Fouzia Khan. Former Chairman of the Department of Political Science of Dhaka University, Professor Ferdous Hossain, was present as the main discussant.

District Police Superintendent Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury, Advocate Umme Kulsum (Rekha), wife of senior lawyer Fazlur Rahman, Advocate Sheikh Mohammad Rokon Reza, former Central Student Welfare Secretary of Chhatra Shibir, Advocate Sheikh Mohammad Rokon Reza, Itna UNO (Acting) Abu Bakar Siddique, OC of Itna Police Station Md. Monowar Hossain, Upazila BNP President S.M. Kamal Hossain, Upazila BNP General Secretary Siddiquzzaman Thakur (Swapon), Senior Vice President and Chairman of Joysiddhi Union Parishad Md. Monir Uddin, Senior Joint General Secretary Palash Rahman, Headmaster of Joysiddhi High School Sheikh Mohammad Mozammel Haque, former headmasters of Joysiddhi High School, founding members, brave freedom fighters, assistant teachers of the institution and former and current students were present. .

Joysiddhi Union of Itna Upazila turned into a grand gathering place in this golden jubilee celebration. People of different ages, different classes and professions came together today and became emotional. Many people live in different parts of the country in the pursuit of livelihood. Everyone is happy to be able to come together today in this golden jubilee celebration of the school.

This gathering of the golden jubilee of Joysiddhi High School began on Saturday morning and ended at midnight with various formalities and cultural programs.
