Human chain of 7 villagers demanding Sreepur-Gaziyaran-Pelaid road

Hundreds of people from seven villages staged a human chain and protested for the speedy construction of the Sreepur-Gaziaran-Pelaid College Road in Sreepur Upazila of Gazipur. The human chain was held from 11 am to 12 pm on Sunday.
Gosinga Union Parishad Chairman Shaheen Moral and local UP members and representatives of various professions of seven villages participated in the human chain held at the entrance of Sreepur-Gaziyaran-Pelaid College Road.
The participants said that the century-old road was first developed by throwing soil and later by paving it with concrete. At present it is obstructed in some parts by the forest department people two and a half months after the official tender for carpeting started the development work. But the road is centuries old.
