Huge crowd on first day sale of advance train tickets in capital

Sale of advance train tickets has begun in the capital marking the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
Aspirant travellers started to receive tickets from 8:00am today.
The authorities of Bangladesh Railway will start sale of return tickets from May 1.
Sources said hundreds of people who are intending to get tickets queued up in front of the counters of Kamalapur Railway Station.
Today, people will be able to manage advance tickets of April 27. Homebound people thronged the Kamalapur Railway Station since the evening of the previous day.
Some 26,700 tickets of 37 trains will be issued today. Of the tickets, half will be available at the counters while the remaining will be sold online.
Apart from online, tickets are being sold at some 77 counters of Kamalapur, Airport, Tejgaon, Banani and Gulistan old station.
Tickets of North Bengal-bound and Khulna-bound trains are being found at Kamalapur Railway Station.
