Hanging body recovered at Gafargaon

Son-in-law Mehdi Hasan Roni (30) committed suicide by hanging himself on a mango tree near the house while visiting his family in Gafargaon, Mymensingh. The incident took place at Chairpara village in Barbaria Union of the upazila around 11 pm last Friday.
Gafargaon Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farooq Ahmed confirmed the matter. The police recovered the body and sent it to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem. Sajangaon village of Bhaluka Upazila, the deceased Roni. Son of Zainal Abedin.
According to the police, last Friday around 9 pm, Roni came to visit his in-laws Alauddin Mia's house in Chairpara village of Barbaria Union. At night, the husband had an argument with his wife Sumi Akhtar (25).
Later, at around 11 o'clock at night, he committed suicide by hanging himself on a branch of a mango tree near his house.
After receiving the information, Gafargaon police recovered the hanging body of son-in-law Roni from the spot on Saturday afternoon.
Gafargaon Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farooq Ahmed said, "The body was recovered and sent to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem on Saturday afternoon. Further legal action will be taken subject to investigation in this regard.
