The final match and prize distribution ceremony of the 10-team short piece six-a-side cricket tournament organized by Gilatola Shaheed Smriti Sangha of TSB Union of Rupsa Upazila was held on Saturday afternoon at Gilatola Government Primary School ground.

South Khajadanga Cricket Academy and Taltala Cricket Academy participated in the final match. At the beginning of the match, South Khajadanga Cricket Academy came out to bat and scored 101 runs for 4 wickets. In reply, Taltala Cricket Academy scored 104 runs for 2 wickets and became the champion.

Ariyat of the winning team was selected as the man of the tournament in the match. After the match, Naib-e-Amir Principal of Khulna District Branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Kabirul Islam distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest. The special guests were the Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rupsa Upazila Branch Maulana Lobibul Islam, Secretary of the Upazila Branch Maulana Habibullah Emon, Amir Lecturer of TSB Union Branch Md. Asaduzzaman, eminent social worker and former education officer Kamlesh Singha, Secretary of TSB Union Jamaat-e-Islami Golam Rasul, President of Mansa Union Branch Md. Nur Alam Sheikh.

Under the chairmanship of Md. Shafiar Rahman, Secretary of TSB Union Ward No. 3 Jamaat-e-Islami and under the direction of Jamaat leader Tamim Badsha, speeches were delivered by Jamaat leader Sheikh Mizanur Rahman, Hafez Saiful Islam, social worker Naimujaman, journalist Akhtar Khan, Jamaat leader Ibrahim Khalil Farooqui and social worker Bikash Kumar Pal were present.
