A general meeting was held at the initiative of Longadu Upazila Sahitya Parishad of Rangamati on Friday.

A general meeting of Longadu Upazila Sahitya Parishad was held on Friday at 11.00 a.m. in the office room of Mainimukh Islami Fazil Madrasa chaired by Madrasa principal Mao Ferdous Alam and moderated by Sultan Ahmad.

Ekhlach Mia Khan, chief advisor of Longdu Press Club, spoke as the chief guest, Maulana Aminur Rashid, former president of Longdu Imam Association, spoke as a special guest.

Bangla Lecturer of Longdu Government Model College Khandkar Hasan Ali, Head Teacher of Ugalchari Mahajan Para Government Primary School Muminul Haque, Joint General Secretary of Longdu Press Club Md Alamgir Hossain, Lecturer of Mainimukh Islamia Fazil Madrasa Moinul Haque Kamal Hossain, Monjurul spoke among othersHaque, Abu Bakr Siddique Mamun etc.Speakers say that literature is a mirror of society.

The work of literature is to show the real picture of the society through writing. In the current internet age, youth society is on the brink of destruction through various media including Facebook, YouTube. This small effort of ours is to focus on literary practice and writing to save this youth society from destruction.

At the end, Ekhlach Mia Khan was announced as the president and Sultan Ahmad as the general secretary of the committee of Longadu Upazila Sahitya Parishad.

Other members of the committee are Senior Vice President Khandaker Hasan Ali, Vice President Abu Dada Arman Joint General Secretary Md Mominul Haque, Deputy General Secretary Md Kamal Hossain, Finance Secretary Md Alamgir Hossain, Publication Editor Mahmudul Hasan Sohag, Co-Publication ABS Mamun. 

Publicity Editor Manjurul Haque, with Publicity MdMoinul HaqueAlso, a 5-member advisory committee was announced with principal Maulana Ferdous Alam as the chief advisor. The other members of the advisory committee are lecturer Mu. Isa Quader, Rajeev Tripura, Omar Farooq Mucha, Syed Ibn Rahmat.
