Gazi Group's looted sanitary goods of Tk 70 lakh recovered in Kishoreganj

The Army in a drive recovered sanitary goods looted from Gazi group in Narayanganj’s Rupganj. Goods worth Tk 70 lakh were recovered from Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj on Sunday afternoon.
On Sunday morning to afternoon , Army raided Sanitary products were recovered by raiding various villages of Jayka, Noabad and Gundhar Union of karimganj upazila.
According to sources, these recovered products were looted from Rupganj. Army has confirmed that these are Gazi group. These products included 450 small and big pipes, water heaters, rice cookers, pump motors, submersible pumps, tubewells, umbrellas and various raw materials for making products.
It has been found that after the news of Sheikh Hasina's resignation and departure from the post of Prime Minister on August 5, miscreants looted these products from various establishments of Gazi Group. Later they sold them.
Those from whom these products were recovered claimed that they had bought these products at a low price from some local people.
The locals said that some people of the area used to work in different companies of Gazi Group. They may also be involved in this robbery.
The soldiers recovered these products and kept them in Jaika Union Parishad. But could not arrest anyone. They were handed over to the Gazi Group representative around 5:30 pm.
Anti-discrimination student movement in Kishoreganj, Obaidul Haque Munna, Karimganj coordinator Yamin Siddiqui, Mahmudul Hasan Sakib and Sohan Rana were present at this time.
