
Free medical camp for members of National Press Club, family members

A two-day free medical camp was organized by the National Press Club in collaboration with Insaf Barakah Kidney and General Hospital on 9 and 12 May.
About 400 members of the club and their family members received medical services at the camp. Tests included blood sample collection for kidney-related "S. Creatinine" and liver-related "SGPT (ALT)", along with blood pressure check-ups. Consultations were provided by experienced doctors across various specialties.
The free medical camp was inaugurated on 9 May by National Press Club President Hasan Hafiz and Vice Chairman of Barakah Foundation, Professor Dr. Ruhul Amin. Present at the event were National Press Club General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan, BFUJ Secretary General and Club Management Committee Member Kader Gani Chowdhury, Management Committee Members Kazi Rownak Hossain, Treasurer Bakhtiar Rana, Mohammad Momin Hossain, Health Sub-Committee Convener AKM Mohsin, DUJ President Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Insaf Barakah Hospital AGM Md. Hafizur Rahman, Barakah Specialized Hospital Director Md. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, Assistant Manager (Marketing & Media) Hossain Mohammad Dulal, Public Relations Officer Mohammad Sohrab Akand, and free medical camp coordinator Md. Hero Miah, among others.
At the inaugural event, the National Press Club President stated, “We are committed to ensuring proper healthcare services for our members. Our main goal is to ensure the overall welfare of our members, and with everyone's cooperation, we will continue such initiatives in the future.”
BFUJ Secretary General and Management Committee Member said, “Among all human assets, health is one of the most important. It is the foundation of all happiness. The institution is truly journalist-friendly.”
