Four stolen cows have been recovered by police in Singair of Manikganj. In this incident, the accused went into hiding after mentioning the names of 5 people including the landlord's wife.

This cow was recovered from Jalal Uddin's house in Chandannagar village of Chandahar Union of the upazila on Thursday (January 26) afternoon. A case has been filed at the police station on Friday, January 27.

According to the complaint source, on the night of January 21 and 22, Monir Uddin of Waiznagar village of Chandahar Union, Abdur Rashid Molla of Maniknagar village, Md. Kabir Hossain and Rozina Begum of Madhavpur village stole a total of four cows each.

After receiving the information, the police of local Shantipur investigation center recovered these cows from the house of Jalal Uddin of Chandannagar village of the upazila on January 26 afternoon. A cow owner named Monir Hossain filed a case with the police station on Friday, naming 5 people including the landlord Jalal Uddin's wife and 2-3 others who are unknown.

The accused in the case are Liton (32) son of Borhan Bepari of Waiznagar village of the upazila, Raju Ahmed Kiran (35) son of Abdul Mannan alias Monnaf Neta, Mafia Begum (45) wife of Jalal Uddin of Chandannagar village, Abu Bakar Siddique (32) son of Geda Sheikh of Alinagar village. And Sohag Mia (30), son of Farooq Mia of Char-Rajnagar village.

Inspector of Police (OC) Safiqul Islam Molya said that the recovered stolen cows are in the custody of the police. It will be handed over to the owners with the permission of the court. Efforts are on to arrest the accused in the case.
