Fire Service saves suicide attempter in Savar

A garments worker was trying to commit suicide by jumping from the roof top of a 10th floor factory in Savar, Dhaka.
That person's named Helal Biswas (23) was rescued by Fire Service and Civil Defense. After the rescue, he was handed over to the factory authorities.
The incident took place on the roof of a garment factory building named AKH Tower adjacent to Dhaka-Aricha highway in Hemayetpur area of Savar on Monday.
Suicide attempter Helal Biswas worked as an operator in that garment factory. His father's name is Farooq Biswas in Mahajan area of Kalia upazila of Narail district.
The admin officer of AKH Group Humayun said im this regard, one of our workers jumped from the roof of a multi-storied building of our AKH group called AKH Tower in Hemayetpur today and was preparing to commit suicide.
When our security personnel saw the matter and informed us, we tried to get him down from there. After informing the fire service, a team of them came and managed to rescue the worker from there.
He also said that initially I found out that the boy got married some time ago but his wife left him and went to his father's house. Due to this, he tried to commit suicide due to stress. Currently that young man is under our control. His family has been informed.
Senior station officer of Savar Fire Service Nurul Islam said, after receiving the news- a team of us went to the spot. Later we rescued the young man from there unharmed and handed him over to the factory authorities. This incident did not cause any kind of chaos or labor dissatisfaction.
