The members of the Destitute Students Development Organization (DOPS) have given farewell reception, prayers, guidance discussions and educational materials distributed to the underprivileged students in Sherpur on Thursday afternoon.

On this occasion, a farewell reception, special prayer, discussion meeting and distribution of educational materials program were organized at DOPS dormitory ground in Sherpur district town.

The President of the Destitute Students Development Organization (DOPS) retired Sergeant Md Shahidur Rahman presided over the program, when DOPS founder army member Shaheen Mia BSP present as the chief guest.

Senior journalist and daily Prothom Alo correspondent Debashish Saha Roy, poet and journalist Rafiq Majid, President of Motor Vehicle Association Md Shamim Hossain spoke as invited guests. DOPS member and DU student Ahmed Hossain Johnny and many others spoke.

After the discussion meeting and distribution of educational materials, Maulana Md Emdad Haque conducted a special prayer for the success of the students along with everyone present.

According to the information by the DOPS office, on this day, a total of 70 underprivileged students, including 35 students of Class XII, were provided free of cost educational materials.

DOPS founder Shaheen Mia BSP said, I spend most of my salary on my DOPS member students. This expense surpasses all the pleasures of the world to me. In the end, he asked for prayers and advice from everyone.

During this time, other officers, employees and members of DOPS, local dignitaries, teachers-students and parents of the underprivileged students of DOPS were present.
