
Eid reunion programme by Jamaat in Baliadangi

An Eid reunion programme was held on Wednesday evening at the Baliadangi Upazila Parishad auditorium, organized by the Baliadangi Upazila branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.
The event was attended by Prof Maulana Abdul Hakim, a member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and a member of the Rangpur Divisional Team, as the chief guest.
In his speech, he said, "During the past 16 years of Awami League's misrule, leaders and activists of the opposition were unable to celebrate Eid with joy and enthusiasm. But by the infinite mercy of Allah, this year we have been able to celebrate Eid peacefully, and for that, we are all grateful. The teachings of sacrifice and self-restraint we learned through fasting should be reflected in everyone's personal lives. Through the great lesson of self-purification in the holy month of Ramadan, the joyful moment of Eid-ul-Fitr arrives. This moment inspires deep brotherhood among Muslims. Therefore, based on Islam’s eternal teachings, we express our resolve to forget all divisions between the rich and poor and move the country forward together."
The event was presided over by Professor Rafiqul Islam, the Ameer of Baliadangi Upazila Jamaat, and conducted by Upazila Jamaat Secretary Md. Shariful Islam.

Also present were Mu. Saiful Islam, President of the Upazila Youth Department, along with the presidents of Thakurgaon district and town branches, the president of Lahiri North Region Chhatra Shibir, and the president of Baliadangi South branch.
During the event, speakers called on everyone to take a pledge for national development through the joy of Eid-ul-Fitr and to be compassionate towards the underprivileged and poor.
They emphasized that the teachings of Eid-ul-Fitr should inspire a collective commitment to build a society and nation free from hatred, jealousy, and conflict—founded on justice, equality, unity, brotherhood, empathy, humanity, and harmony.
