Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal extended his best wishes to all the teachers, students, officers and employees of the university on the occasion of Bengali New Year-1431.

On this occasion, he wished everyone happiness, peace, prosperity and eternal well-being.

Om 13 April 2024, in a greeting message on Saturday, the Vice-Chancellor said, Pahela Boishakh is an integral part of Bengali culture and a festival of eternal life. Bengali New Year festival is a non-sectarian, inclusive and universal festival. Since time immemorial, the Bengali nation has been celebrating Pahela Boishakh through its own traditions, culture, customs and colorful arrangements. All religions, castes and groups of Bangladesh, including minority groups, have a close relationship with it.

Pahela Boishakh brings new life to people of all classes, professions and ages. With the inspiration of New Year, equality, camaraderie and friendship develop among people.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism and said that the Bengali New Year-1431 will bring more prosperity in everyone's life by erasing the sorrows, sorrows, and traces of the past, leaving behind the ugly and evil. With the goal of building a smart Bangladesh, the country will advance in innovation in all fields including science and technology through new innovations.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal also said that the country has achieved unprecedented progress and success in all fields including education, health, agriculture, business, trade, economy, and development to the people of the world under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in building the golden Bengal of the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali father of the nation.
