DU Television, Film and Photography Depat celebrates its 13th founding anniversary

The 13th founding anniversary of the Department of Television, Film and Photography, Dhaka University was celebrated on Thursday.
On this occasion, various day-long programs including cake cutting, discussion meetings, documentary screenings and cultural programs were organized.
Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed inaugurated the day-long programs as the chief guest at a program held at the Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium this morning.
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Rasheda Irshad Nasir and renowned film actor Khwaja Naeem Murad spoke as special guests at the program presided over by Departmental Chairman SM Imran Hossain. The program was moderated by Lecturer Khandaker Rubaiyat Mursalin.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed congratulated the teachers, students, officials and alumni of the department on the occasion of its founding anniversary. He said that the teachers and students of this department can play an effective role in the expansion and modernization of the television, film and photography industries.
Stressing the need to further strengthen the industry-academia relationship for the development of the country's film industry, he said that the department should increase its involvement with experienced people in these industries in order to enhance the practical knowledge and skills of the students.
