DU Math Department freshers' reception held

Freshers' reception and cultural programme of Dhaka University Mathematics Department was held on Thursday at AF Mujibur Rahman Mathematics Building.
University Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal was present as chief guest on the occasion.
Departmental Chairman Prof. Dr. Md. Professor Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Prof. Dr. Md. Abdus Chamad spoke as a special guest.
Professor of the department also spoke on the occasion. Chalma Nazarin. The program was conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Md. Shariful Islam
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal highlighted the importance of basic and practical use of mathematics in various fields and said that students should plan and set goals and move forward.
In the era of globalization, the students of Dhaka University have to acquire knowledge from the best universities of the world as well as their own departments. He called upon the students to develop themselves as skilled human resources in knowledge and technology and work for the welfare of common people and development of the country and nation.
In the 2nd phase of the program, an interesting cultural program was performed with the participation of departmental students.
