DU five students awarded Prof Nazma BegumTrust Fund scholarship

Five meritorious and financially challenged students of Dhaka University (DU) Economics Department have been awarded ‘Prof. Nazma Begum Trust Fund’ scholarship on Thursday.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman as chief guest handed over cheque among the recipients of the scholarship. Recipients of scholarship are Mohammad Jihad, Mosa: Jaima Akhtar, Ajmira Islam Mithila, Khadija Akhtar and Dipto Roy.
Besides, donor of the Trust Fund retired Prof. Dr. Nazma Begum of the Department of Economics handed over a cheque for Tk. 5 lac to DU Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed to enhance the capital of this trust fund at the same function held at the VC’s Lounge. Now the total amount of this Trust Fund stood at Taka 15 lac.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the recipients of the scholarship as well as the donor for enhancing the capital of this trust fund. He hoped that meritorious and financially challenged students of Dhaka University Economics Department would be highly benefited and inspired by this Trust Fund.
