Bhuiyanpur Upazila Social Welfare Council of Tangail has distributed financial aid cheques to the extremely poor and sick people from the Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office on Tuesday.
Bhuiyanpur UNO Md. Abu Abdullah Khan and Social Service Officer Nazmul Hasan were present and distributed a hefty cheque of Tk 60,000 each to 12 sick and needy people.
Upazila Social Service Officer Nazmul Hasan said, every year we distribute donation checks among the helpless, distressed, and destitute in different categories. In continuation of this, today we distributed donation cheques to 12 sick and destitute people under the initiative of the Upazila Social Welfare Council.
