Five members of the same family were injured by hacking and beating due to a dispute over land at Bhedarganj.

At that time, the accused ransacked the victim's house. Sadek Ali Dewan, Jahan Ullah Dewan, his younger brother Rubel Dewan, niece Marufa and his mother Hasina Begum were seriously injured in the attack.

On December 28, the incident took place in Purvo kandi Dhali kandi village of Charbhaga union of Sakhipur thana. Jahan Ullah Dewan who was injured in this incident filed a written complaint mentioning the names of 7 people including Momin Ali Dewan as plaintiff.

Later Sakhipur Thana Police conducted a raid and arrested a man named Habibur Rahman alias Manik and sent him to court.

The accused are Habibur Rahman Manik (45), son of Mohammad Ali Dewan of Charvaga Dhalikandi village of the upazila, Momin Ali Dewan (70), son of deceased Hazrat Ali Dewan, Liton Gain (42), son of A: Haque Gain, Russell Dewan (45), son of Momin Ali Dewan. , Ahsan Ullah Dewan (35), Liton Gain's son Hridoy Gain (28) and Rifat Gain (19).According to police and local sources, there was a dispute over land with Jahan Ullah Dewan and Momin Ali Dewan for a long time. It was settled locally on December 28.

After the local arbitrators had left, the other accused, including Momin Ali Dewan, started abusing them in a pre-planned manner, when Jahan Ullah Dewan's father sadek Ali Dewan for bade them from abusing them, the accused attacked them. Meanwhile, Elopathari was beaten and cut with iron rod and injured. Meanwhile, saadek Ali tried to save Dewan and severely injured Jahan Ullah, his younger brother Rubel Dewan, niece Marufa and his mother Hasina Begum with an iron rod.

Meanwhile, the accused molested his niece Marufa.It is also alleged in the case that cash, gold ornaments and mobile phones were stolen from their house. Later the locals rescued the injured and first took them to Vedarganj Upazila Health Complex. sadek Dewan, Rubel Dewan, Hasina Begum, Marufa were treated there, but Jahan Ulla's condition was critical and referred to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital for better treatment.

Jahan Ullah, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, said that for a long time there has been a dispute with Momin Ali Dewans over our land. About Momin Ali is my uncle. Even after getting land from them, the local arbitrators asked them to hand over the land, but they did not give it.On that day, when the local arbitrators made a decision to explain the land, they did not accept it.

Later they attacked me terribly with the intention of killing all my family while moving a chicken coop. My father saadek Dewan and younger brother Rubel Dewan were hacked and beaten severely. And this attack was made on me to kill me. I demand maximum punishment for these accused. When they went to the house of the accused to inquire about the complaint, they were not found. They were given a call on their mobile phone but it was found to be switched off. And they are all absconding since the incident.

OC of Sakhipur police station Obaidul Haque said that a case has been registered in the case of beating. We have already arrested one person and sent him to jail. The operation is on to nab the rest of the accused.
