It took about a month for idol artist Prahlad Biswas to complete the clay work of the idol made on the occasion of Durga Puja.
It is specially made by placing sugar powder rice. This idol made of paddy in the northern Murarikati Palpara Puja Mandap in Kalaroa Municipality is now fully visible. The work of beautifying the idol by mixing the sweetness of paint has taken a different dimension. This scene has been witnessed by visiting the pujamandap on the ground.
This is the first time that the idol wrapped in paddy has been visible in this region. The idols made of paddy seem to be wrapped in gold. Apart from this, paddy is also a reminder of prosperity and wealth to the people of rural Bengal. Small sugar powder rice is planted like beads. Which has got an amazing form. Paddy is placed in such a way that it looks like the idols are wrapped in gold. After these dried, the idol was sprayed with paint.
