Dhaka University closed for indefinite period

Dhaka University (DU) has been closed for an indefinite period and its students were asked to vacate their dormitories by 6:00pm today amid the ongoing movements by students demanding reformation in the quota system in government jobs.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the syndicate this morning, the highest policy-making body of the university, as per the government directive last night.
All the residential students have been asked to leave their dormitories by 6pm.
