Two held with fake gold idols in Bogura

RAB arrested two smugglers in Bogura along with fake gold idols on Tuesday . The arrested are AH Jalil, 45, son of late Altaf Hossain of Kalipara village in Kahalu upazila and Mohammad Jahanur, 42, son of late Mojibar Mandal.
The RAB arrested them from in front of the Bogra Regional Youth Center on the north side of the Tinmatha railway line at 10:30 am on Tuesday.
It is learnt that these two persons were standing for cheating in Tinmatha area of Bogra Sadar. They were detained on the basis of secret information. A fake gold idol, a mobile phone, SIM and cash were seized from them.
RAB-12 Bogura Company Commander Lt. Commander Abdullah Al Mamun said that during the preliminary interrogation, they admitted that they had been cheating with various types of idols including fake gold idols for a long time. They have been handed over to Bogra Sadar Police Station for taking legal action against them.
