Covid claims 6 more lives; 718 cases recorded in 24hrs

Six people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00am today (September 26, 2022), said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of deaths from Covid-19 is currently 29,359 in the country and the death rate stands at 1.45 percent.
At least 718 new coronavirus cases were recorded during this period.
The daily positivity rate is 13.58 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.61 percent.
With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,22,408, the release added.
A total of 5,288 samples were tested across the country during this period.
At least 436 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,63,308 and the recovery rate at 97.08 percent, said the release.
Of the deceased, three were male and three were female. One of them was aged between 31-40 years old, one was within 51-60, three were within 61-70 and one was between 71-80 years old, added the release.
