The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has urged Japanese industrial entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh.

In particular, Japanese businessmen can set up automobile and light engineering factories in Bangladesh, said the president of FBCCI. Jasim Uddin. The FBCCI president made this call in a courtesy meeting with a delegation of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) on Wednesday.

According to information about the market potential in Bangladesh. Jasim Uddin said, people of Bangladesh love Japan. They also have a lot of demand for Japanese products. That's why when you go out on the road, you can see Japanese cars of various brands. Japan can come forward to exploit the huge business potential in Bangladesh.

In this case, keeping in mind the huge demand for Japanese cars in the country, a car factory can be set up. As a result, both countries will benefit equally, he said. Md. Jasim Uddin said, recently a South Korean company has opened a factory in Bangladesh.

Japanese automobile companies can also start assembling/manufacturing cars here. The sooner they set up factories here, the better it will be for them to expand their business.

Highlighting the dynamic economic growth of Bangladesh, the FBCCI president said, we are now moving towards a trillion dollar economy. Bangladesh is going through policy and structural transformation in order to achieve this target. Government agencies are also working in coordination with the private sector to facilitate the business environment. He also informed the JETRO delegation about the Bangladesh Business Summit to be organized on the occasion of FBCCI's 50th anniversary. Jasim Uddin.

Desiring the active participation of Japanese businessmen in the summit, he said that the private sector of Bangladesh is interested in expanding business and trade with Japan.

Local entrepreneurs have emphasized on setting up environment-friendly industries. He said that exchange of technology between the two countries is essential to ensure sustainable industrialization.

JETRO President Kazushige Nabutani congratulated FBCCI on its 50th anniversary. On this occasion, he wished the success of the Business Summit in Bangladesh to be organized in March.

In the meeting, Kazushige Nabutani said, We are happy to know that FBCCI is going to organize Bangladesh Business Summit on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. We welcome this massive event on business and commerce. Japan is seriously considering expanding mutual trade and investment.

Both countries have the opportunity to benefit through this. President of JETRO expressed hope that trade relations between the two countries will be accelerated through the government's business-friendly policy strategy.

In the meeting, the vice-president of FBCCI. Amin Helali, Secretary General Mohammad Mahfuzul Haque, Advisor and former Director Abdul Haque, JETRO Executive Vice President Mayumi Murayama, Director General Satoshi Kubota and other members of the delegation.
