Construction work of Bangladesh Embassy building in Bhutan begins

The construction work of the new Bangladesh Embassy building has started in Hejo-Samteling area, the newly emerging diplomatic zone in Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.
An agreement was signed with Vajra Builders, a construction company of Bhutan for the construction of Bangladesh's Embassy on 1.5 acre of the land provided by the Government of Bhutan on Monday.
It is noted that Bhutan and Bangladesh have provided land for the construction of each other's embassy buildings in their respective capitals.
Bangladesh Prime Minister and the King of Bhutan jointly laid the foundation stone for the construction work of the embassy building on April 19, 2017, said a press release here on Tuesday.
Bhutan's Vajra Builders Pvt Ltd was chosen through an international tender as the construction company tasked with building the embassy on the land allocated by the Government of Bhutan.
